Caithness Chamber of Commerce launches WorldHost initiative
Published 09 Sep 2013On Friday 27th September, Caithness Chamber of Commerce will launch a new initiative aimed at making Caithness a WorldHost Recognised Destination and putting Caithness on the map as a world-class tourist destination. The launch event will be held in the Seaview Hotel at John O’Groats and will feature guest speaker Malcolm Roughead, CEO of VisitScotland.
What is WorldHost Training?
The WorldHost customer service training programmes were originally developed in Canada – widely recognised as the leading global destination for visitor welcome – and have been used to train over one million frontline staff worldwide to a gold standard in customer service. WorldHost training was famously used to train tens of thousands of volunteers and staff at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
How will it benefit my business?
If your business or organisation relies on one-to-one interaction with customers for success, WorldHost training can help boost your business by ensuring that your frontline staff have a nationally recognised qualification in customer service.
By training 50 per cent or more of your staff using WorldHost customer service training, you can become a WorldHost Recognised Business, allowing you to use the WorldHost recognition logo at your premises and on your website and gaining promotion on the WorldHost website.

Once 25% of businesses in the county have attained WorldHost Recognised status, Caithness Chamber of Commerce will apply on behalf of Caithness for WorldHost Recognised Destination status. By becoming one of a small group of destinations in the UK to gain this prestigious recognition, this will:
