WorldHost rollout begins in earnest
Published 07 Nov 2013Following its announcement in September that it had helped John O’Groats gain WorldHost Recognised Destination status, Caithness Chamber of Commerce has begun rolling out the ambitious initiative to other areas of Caithness.
Three training dates have so far been announced, with two of those – on the 12th and 25th of November – already fully booked and the third – on 2nd December – filling up fast. In addition to these “individual” training days, where members of staff from a number of organisations are trained in the principles of customer service, the Chamber is also conducting “corporate” training days, training a whole organisation’s staff in a single session.
Chamber staff will also be hosting WorldHost drop-in sessions from 11.30am – 2.30pm at Caithness Horizons in Thurso on 8th November and the Norseman Hotel in Wick on 20th November, allowing interested individuals to come along and find out more about the programme at a time that best suits them.
Through this training initiative, the Chamber aims to gain the prestigious WorldHost Recognised Destination status for the whole of Caithness. This will put the county on the map for great customer service, attracting new customers, encouraging return visits and boosting the local economy.
The training usually costs £95 + VAT per person, but the Chamber is offering it free to local businesses*.
