Highland Office Equipment have joined forces with The Wood Foundation
Published 23 Jan 2018Chamber members Highland Office Equipment have joined forces with The Wood Foundation to support local charities and high school pupils in Inverness through the Youth & Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).
YPI finals are being held across all 5 secondary schools in Inverness with third year pupils delivering passionate presentations at each on why their chosen charity should receive a £3000 grant. The first YPI final at Millburn Academy saw charity Seagull Trust Cruises announced as funding winners, whilst Inverness charity Mikey’s Line were awarded the grant from the second final at Culloden Academy. The most recent final was held at Charleston Academy with ICT Manager, John Robertson, and HOE Director, Alex Main, on the judging panel. The panel chose Inverness charity Crocus Bereavement Group as the third YPI final winners.
Inverness High School and Inverness Royal Academy are still to host their YPI finals in the coming months, giving 2 more charities the chance to receive a £3000 funding grant from Highland Office Equipment. Sir Ian Wood, Chairman of The Wood Foundation, is delighted to be collaborating with HOE “We look forward to working alongside Alex and the team at HOE as YPI continues to develop and embed across the city”.
