Investors in Young People Award for The Care and Learning Alliance
Published 06 May 2016The Care and Learning Alliance (CALA) has recently gone through an assessment with Investors in People Scotland to determine how effective CALA is in helping individuals to grow and improve their skills and are delighted to announce that they have now received official accreditation as a company who invests in Young People.
This accreditation has been awarded for a number of reasons including:
- Leaders have an understanding of the needs and differences relating to Young People
- Staff understand the issues around transition from school, college or unemployment to work and effectively manage this transition
- Conversations about progress and performance occur regularly
- Managers ensure that there is a recognition that confidence and self-belief is important and is built upon
The team would like to thank everyone that took part in the assessment and look forward to helping everyone grow their experience and skills. The next steps in moving ahead will be to introduce a staff innovation fund.
