Norscot have announced the appointment of commercial director Callum Grant (57) to the dual role of managing and commercial director, with effect from the 1st of October.
Current managing director and co-founder of the business Peter Body (71) will assume a part-time role in the business as chairman. He said “Callum has always demonstrated a strong desire to see the business succeed and serve the community in which we work. He is respected throughout the Highlands, and beyond, as a businessman and I have no doubt he will be a worthy successor.”
Callum joined Norscot in 1988 as a fledgling salesman and was offered a place on the board as commercial director in 1992, on his wedding day. Since then Callum has had a significant impact on the business in its pursuit of continuous growth.
Norscot currently generates sales of around £4 million and has 60 employees. But, with a number of new projects on the horizon, aims to double sales over the next five years. Callum will be supported in this drive forward by production director John-Paul Body, technical director Jason Fraser and finance director Carrie Body.
Callum said “I’m extremely excited about the future prospects for the company and relish the opportunity to take a lead in the next phase of its development”.
The Chamber team wish Callum much success in his new role.
