Sureclean announces £2million investment in new headquarters
Published 05 Feb 2014International industrial cleaning contractor, Sureclean, has started construction on their headquarters in Alness, Ross-shire.
The contract to build the new 7,000 sq. ft office facility, which is to be located adjacent to their current sites at Teaninich Industrial Estate in Alness, has been awarded to Morrison Construction. The £2million investment will also include an extension of their existing support services base and will increase their warehouse space to 6,000 sq. ft with both developments scheduled to be complete in June 2014.
Sureclean’s operational requirements and growth expectations were considered throughout the design stages of this development to ensure the facility meets the everyday needs of the Company. The new development is to combine open plan office space for ease of communications between departments along with a combination of meeting, training and wellbeing facilities.
Sureclean’s managing director, John Barron, said: “Alness is where Sureclean was founded and remains the heartland of our business. We have ensured that the building specification meets the needs of our operations, whilst providing the capacity for continued growth, as our staff numbers and services continue to increase across all of our sites.
“Our work-force is out-growing our current site at Alness. The company has expanded rapidly over the last few years with the numbers of permanent staff now in excess of 130.”
Morrison Construction’s regional director Donald Mclachlan also commented: “Development of the office site has progressed well and we are pleased that it is running on schedule. We were delighted to secure this contract and we look forward to handing over the completed building to Sureclean in June”.
