Wellbeing Festival returns to Wick
Published 18 Apr 2016Health and wellbeing has never been further up the agenda with the introduction of sugar tax, statistics on obesity levels in our future generations and the increasing attention being paid to our metal health.
Caithness is set to play its part in raising awareness and looking at alternative ways to live our lives with the return of a wellbeing festival aimed at the body, mind and spirit.
The third Caithness Wellbeing Festival will take place at Mackays Hotel in Wick on Sunday 29th May with exhibitors and workshops focussing on keeping us well, including treatments, healthy food options and a ‘free from’ food demonstration, helping us deal with stress and an introduction to practices such as sound therapy.
Ellie Lamont, Owner of Mackays Hotel and founder of the Caithness Wellbeing Festival said: “We have a huge number of quality practitioners who operate in the Highlands and this event brings them all together in one place with the chance for delegates to come along and enjoy taster sessions, sample treatments and an overall enjoyable day out away from their busy lives.”
Entry to the Caithness Wellbeing Festival costs £5 and includes a juice and snack, workshops are charged extra. Tickets can be purchased from: www.event.bookitbee.com/6219/caithness-wellbeing-festival
