Young Business of the Year Award
2015 saw Caithness Chamber of Commerce launch its inaugural Young Business of the Year Award, set up to recognise the valuable contributions that entrepreneurs of all ages make to the local economy.
With much success, the award is now in its third year. On the Friday 22nd September 2017 at the Norseman Hotel, Wick, the award was presented to 2017’s Young Business of the Year – Stacks Coffee House & Bistro, a family run business in the town of John O’Groats.
Inspired through living and travelling outwith Caithness, Stacks bistro, aims to bring a warm and relaxed environment where everyone is welcome! Their main strategy is listening to their customers and team in a co-op type style of development. Stacks has gained a strong following through their first year of trading and customer feedback is important.
Stacks have worked hard to support and develop the younger members of their team, and have major plans to advocate careers in hospitality by supporting college students and young team members alike.
Make sure you also check out our Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, open to business people aged between 18-30 in the North Highlands.
Previous winners include White Heather Home Care (2016) and Dunnet Bay Distillers (2015).
Please note that the deadline for applications has now passed.
