Sean has a gift for cracking ideas

North Highland College UHI student Sean Frame has demonstrated his entrepreneurial success in the Highlands.

Sean, through the Bridge 2 Business (B2B) scheme has, working alongside his sister, recently launched a company – Tartan Cracker Gift Company, specialising in unique Scottish gifts.

Jane MacIntosh, Curriculum Leader for Education at North Highland College UHI said, “Sean has been an exemplary student, demonstrating interest in and flair for entrepreneurial activities”.

During his studies, Jane nominated Sean as an Intern for the Scottish Institute for Enterprise and was delighted when he successfully secured this role.  At the end of his first year as SIE Intern, Sean was awarded “Highland SIE Intern of the Year Award” at their annual enterprising summit in Edinburgh.

Jane MacIntosh said “both myself and North Highland College UHI are very proud of Sean’s achievements – he is a perfect role model and an inspiration to our students”,

Following Sean’s example, students can have the opportunity to apply to B2B for a £100 Grant and the chance to showcase their business idea locally (supported by RBS).

North Highland College UHI offers business courses from National Certificate to Honours Degree level and Personal Development Awards in Book-Keeping, Financial Accountancy and Information Technology.
