21st September 2021, 10:30 to 16:00 @ Royal British Legion Scotland, Thurso

Professor Julieanna Powell-Turner will be visiting Caithness on 21 September to deliver two sessions on the practicalities of sustainability along with Magnus Davidson from the ERI in Thurso.

These sessions will take place in the Royal British Legion Scotland, Thurso from 10:30 and 14:00 and are free to attend for any business interested in learning more about sustainability. The sessions will cover a range of areas including sustainability, the circular economy, the report of the Just Transition Commission and the practical experiences of working with organisations of all sizes across a range of sectors on these issues.

Full details of what will be covered on the day, along with biographies of Professor Powell-Turner and Magnus Davidson can be downloaded here.

Professor Powell-Turner is one of the leading authorities in the UK in this field and her experiences of not only working in academia and leading on the establishment of ISO standards, but also working with large multinational organisations and small SMEs is well worth listening to. She will also talk briefly about her involvement in the ROSE Project, supporting the CNSRP in our local region and how it could benefit Caithness and North Sutherland.
