Artificial Intelligence for Defence
Dstl and DASA will be sharing information on current innovation funding calls for AI in Defence, including The Sub Threshold and Analysing and Understanding Audiences.
Join us at the Catalyst Building, Newcastle-upon-Tyne to hear about current funding opportunities from the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and the Defence & Security Accelerator (DASA), themed around Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event is for suppliers to hear about our defence challenges, the military end-user perspective, and the ways to work with DASA and Dstl.
The event will present three innovation calls to generate novel and innovative solutions to meet current and future UK Defence needs:
- AI for Defence: The Defence AI Strategy sets out the UK’s vision to adapt and exploit AI at pace and scale for Defence advantage.
- The sub-threshold: This Themed Competition explores the role AI-enabled technology can play in improving the MOD’s ability to conduct intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) of the sub-threshold information environment.
• Analysing and Understanding Audiences (Phase 1): This Themed Competition seeks novel and innovative tools, techniques and methods that have the potential to aid the selection, analysis and understanding of audiences. This includes AI approaches as well as human and social science challenges.
