This is one in which products, services and systems are designed to maximise their value and minimise waste. Products last longer when they are reused, repaired, remanufactured or recycled.

Find out how we can build back in a better way from Covid-19 and work towards tackling the climate crisis. Helen will also discuss key strategies that will enable businesses to take advantage of the opportunities that it presents and share some real life examples of circular models in action across the life science and technologies sectors.

ZERO WASTE SCOTLAND

Zero Waste Scotland exists to lead Scotland to use products and resources responsibly, focusing where we can have the greatest impact on climate change.

Using evidence and insight, out goal is to inform policy, and motivate individuals and businesses to embrace the environmental, economic, and social benefits of a circular economy.

Four-fifths of Scotland’s carbon footprint come from products and materials. The production, consumption and waste of these products and materials are heating the earth at an alarming rate. This includes the energy required to grow, make, process and transport them, whether they are made here in Scotland or elsewhere.

Note that this session will be recorded.
