The seafood sector is hit hard in terms of export during COVID-19 and we have seen rapidly changing consumer behaviours in China as the country is recovering from the pandemic now.

Chinese consumers prefer healthier and better quality of seafood now and food service & retail buyers are cautious on imported seafood now due to coronavirus-contaminated white shrimp product packaging and containers found by custom authorities recently.

Going forward, premium products with high brand awareness among professional buyers will have better opportunities to penetrate into China market.
