Mon 13 & Tues 14 May. World Hydrogen 2024 Exhibition in Rotterdam

The World Hydrogen 2024 Exhibition is free to attend and features over 500 exhibiting companies. The Exhibition is the ideal place to catch up on industry products and developments across the global hydrogen value chain. The Exhibition features two H2 Tech Series stages and has networking areas, product launches and more! There is also the Hydrogen Summit Conference running from 13-15 May but this is ticketed and not cheap.

Weds 15 & Thurs 16 May. All-Energy 2024 Exhibition and Conference at SEC Glasgow

All-Energy is the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon exhibition and conference and is expecting over 10,000 delegates over both days. Visit SHFCA at stand Q24 next to the Hydrogen & Energy Storage Showfloor Theatre in the Hydrogen Zone. Make the most of the extensive networking opportunities, including the Giant Networking event on Weds evening. All-Energy 2024 Engineering a Net Zero Future is free to attend which includes the major exhibition with over 200 stands, eight Showfloor Theatres, and the multi-streamed conference with over 50 sessions including three hydrogen themed sessions in the extensive conference programme on both days. Mon 20 May 13:00-14:00 BST. SHFCA COMAH Awareness for Hydrogen webinar

This webinar for SHFCA members and guests on Monday 20th May is about Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Awareness for Hydrogen. Kris Ellenthorpe of Process Safety Consulting Ltd will look at some of the challenges involved from the perspective of COMAH compliance and gaining planning consents. Kris will draw on examples from experience with projects performed by Process Safety Consulting Ltd and from previous roles including operational experience on a hydrogen manufacturing plant. Thurs 23 May 09:00-17:30 BST. HEA Acting on Ambition annual conference London

The Hydrogen Energy Association’s Annual Conference on 23rd May in Westminster, London will explore opportunities and practical developments on the ground as well as trends and success factors. The theme this year is Acting on Ambition, focussing on accelerating the deployment of hydrogen solutions and driving change to position the UK at the forefront of hydrogen globally, as well as delivering energy resilience and net zero through hydrogen. This event will play an important role in convening the UK hydrogen industry, helping delegates seize new opportunities, and driving the sector’s growth.

Tues 28 & Weds 29 May. HIE/SHFCA Highlands & Islands Hydrogen Workshop in Elgin

Our Highlands & Islands Hydrogen Workshop is on Tuesday 28th afternoon & Wednesday 29th May morning at Moray College in Elgin. This free to attend event is being organised by Highlands & Islands Enterprise and SHFCA and is aimed at those already working with hydrogen, together with businesses and organisations who are exploring opportunities to become involved with the hydrogen economy in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Tuesday afternoon will provide an update on hydrogen deployments and supply chain across the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, with an update on training resources and support available for workforce development. The Wednesday morning session will highlight innovative hydrogen projects in the Highlands & Islands including hydrogen for distilleries and freight logistics, and refuelling infrastructure. The session will conclude with an introduction to planning and environmental considerations followed by networking lunch.

Weds 29 May 09:00-17:00 CET. Green Hydrogen Innovation Congress in Dresden and online

The second “Green Hydrogen Innovation Congress” (GHIC 2024) will take place in Dresden, capital of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. The Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA) is hosting this hybrid networking event and welcomes guest regions for hydrogen cooperation in Saxony at GHIC 2024. Participation is free of charge and open to the general professional public, companies and political decision-makers from Germany and abroad. The hybrid event and the parallel Green Hydrogen Innovation Market will create space for networking and cooperation between regional innovation drivers in a dynamic global environment. Tues 11 & Weds 12 June. Energy Exports Conference at P&J Live in Aberdeen

The free to attend Energy Exports Conference (EEC) returns to P&J Live in Aberdeen on Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th June. Over the course of the two-days this event will explore export opportunities for the supply chain across multiple sectors including hydrogen, wind, and CCUS. The main hydrogen session on Hydrogen Horizons: Powering our Future takes place late Tuesday afternoon and will delve into the latest breakthroughs, game-changing projects, and strategic initiatives that are propelling hydrogen to the forefront of the energy transition. The Evening Networking Reception follows this hydrogen session on Day 1 and all speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates are invited the Networking and Exhibition Zone from 17:30 – 19:00 for this evening networking reception.

Tues 11 – Thurs 13 June. EU Sustainable Energy Week Policy Conference & Energy Fair

The EU Sustainable Energy Week Policy Conference is the biggest conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. The Policy Conference takes place on 11-13 June in a hybrid format online and in Brussels at the European Commission’s Charlemagne building and the Martin’s Brussels EU Hotel. Delegates are encouraged to attend in person to benefit fully from the networking possibilities and presentations of companies and organisations at the Energy Fair.

Mon 17 & Tues 18 June. Clean Hydrogen Partnership Hydrogen Valleys’ Days in Brussels

The Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the European Commission are holding the Hydrogen Valleys’ Days event on 17-18 June 2024 in Brussels. This builds on the successful work of the Clean Hydrogen JU and involves the collaboration with the regions and cities including project development assistance and funding of already 15 hydrogen valleys across Europe. This groundwork sets the stage for the launch of an EU roadmap for Hydrogen Valleys and related facility. The agenda will include discussions with policy makers including local authorities as well as project developers, investors and industry suppliers looking at shaping up such local hydrogen ecosystems.

The Hazardex in the Regions: Dundee safety conference and exhibition is free to attend and takes place at the Michelin Scotland Innovation Park (MSIP) in Dundee on Wednesday 19th June 2024.
