SME Loan Fund
The SME Loan is funded by the Scottish Government and can be used for the installation of heating, renewables and many energy efficiency measures (such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, building fabric, and more). It offers unsecured, interest-free loans of between £1,000 and £100,000 with the potential for up to £20,000 cashback.
The full list of eligible businesses and qualifying technologies can be found on the Zero Waste Scotland website. Cashback will be awarded as follows:
- 30% of eligible costs up to a maximum of £10,000 can be claimed by qualifying applicants for any energy efficiency measures
- 75% of eligible costs up to a maximum of £10,000 can be claimed by qualifying applicants for any air/ground/water source heat pump, biomass boiler or solar thermal renewable technologies.
